Red Moon Pirates: A Well-Themed Slot With Stacked and Sticky Wilds

When I started playing Red Moon Pirates, I was immediately impressed with the slot’s design. The action took place on a gently swaying pirate ship by a treasure island, with the reels on a large, semi-transparent map. I loved the look of the slot and thought the music was atmospheric and fitting. What I also liked was the day/night cycle that changed how wilds worked: during the day, they were stacked; at night, they were sticky.

The gameplay was enjoyable enough. Wilds appeared regularly, and I was able to win quite often thanks to them. All of my payouts were small; none of them were above 10x my bet. However, I did end up with a profit at one point before my lucky streak was over and my losses outpaced my winnings.

I hoped to play the respin feature because it looked good and seemed to be potentially rewarding. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play it, though I did come close, with the feature nearly triggering on several spins. 

While I enjoyed playing Red Moon Pirates and thought it was a well-designed slot, I would have rated it higher if I had landed just one big win and if the respin feature had triggered. Even so, I would still recommend it because of what it has to offer and how immersive it is.
