4ThePlayer built 9K Yeti Gold on the bones of their 2019 original. They kept the Snowstorm, added an Avalanche feature, bolted on a progressive jackpot wheel, and sent the Yeti back up the mountain. The game runs on a 6x4 grid with 4,096 ways to win, paying from left to right with a minimum of three matching symbols, two for the premium icons. Gold Coins land on reels 1 and 6, feeding collection meters that trigger either the Snowstorm or Avalanche features. 

Snowstorm needs at least two Yeti symbols in view to shuffle them into a winning combination, while Avalanche drops one or more Yeti stacks onto random reels for a guaranteed win. Base game wins came in between 1.20x and 3.50x my bet, landing within two to three spins early on, though stretches of up to ten dead spins showed up often enough to feel the volatility.

The Avalanche triggered a few times during the base game and delivered between 2x and 4x returns each time. Guaranteed wins on paper, but at that payout range, they barely move the needle on a high volatility slot. The fortune jackpot wheel spins behind the grid and can fire on any random spin, though it stayed quiet throughout my session.

Three scatters anywhere on the grid got me into the Snowstorm Free Spins with 8 spins. The Snowstorm fired on the first spin, shuffled the symbols around, and paid 8x before the round wrapped up at 38.20x total. A second trigger was far leaner at 5.80x, which tells you everything about how variable these free spins can be. 

You can land up to 88 spins from six scatters, with retriggers possible during the round, and the Snowstorm and Avalanche both run at a higher frequency in the bonus.
