Apparat Gaming’s Garden Gnomes takes you behind the scenes to a hidden Gnome village. The colorful background is an eye-catcher for sure with a small village in the middle of a valley surrounded by snow capped mountains. That being said, let me tell you about the wins and features here. 

The base game is played on a 5x3 grid with an average RTP and medium-high volatility. One issue I had was making wins using the 10 available paylines. During my session, I was making wins every 6 to 8 spins with amounts varying between 2x to 5x my bet. 

You also have wild and scatter symbols that give you a neat bonus if you can trigger 5 of them. From my experience, 2 wilds and 1 scatter symbol can be found often on the reels but getting the 5 symbols required to get the up to 200x for scatters and 500x for wilds is going to be exceptionally hard. 

Additionally, you also have a free spins bonus game that is triggered by landing 3 or more scatter symbols. You are awarded 15 free spins and each combination that is made using a gnome symbol awards you an additional multiplier. If you get all 5 gnomes and their multipliers, you get an additional 15 free spins for a total of 30! 

However, getting to the bonus game is fairly hard and I only got to it after around 70 spins. I even unlocked 1 to 3 Gnome multipliers during my various free games but I fell short of unlocking that elusive free spins retrigger bonus. 

If getting to the free spins round is hard for you, you can also use the bonus buy button on the left side of the reels. After testing it many times, I found the cost of 87x Bonus Buy to be too high and getting back that amount was heavily unreliable. 

On the whole, Garden Gnomes is a short and sweet slot title with standard gameplay and classic looks. I would recommend giving it a try if you want a simple and chill gaming experience.
