Pirots 4 by ELK Studios takes our feathered friends out of the jungle and into deep space. Tgame swaps paylines for a movement-based mechanic where color-coded parrots collect matching gems and unlock features as they roam. With dynamic grid expansion, corner bombs, Space Bandit battles, and a max win of 10,000x your bet, this one packs more twists than a black hole.
The base game is surprisingly active. The parrots move to collect gems that match their color, setting off new symbol drops until they can’t move anymore. On average, I was seeing 0.25x to 0.65x wins every few spins, but a lucky setup with birds near their gems pushed some returns up to 5x my bet.
The movement mechanics and animations make even low-value rounds feel engaging, and I found myself chasing Power Clashes just for the chaos. A collection meter tracks how many gems you’ve collected, and filling it adds pending feature symbols for later release. Once triggered, these can transform symbols into scatters, wilds, upgrade icons, or even coins worth fixed cash prizes.
Features like Switcheroo and Power Clash shake things up when birds can’t move anymore. These add fun visual moments and often helped me break through long dry spells with 6x to 10x wins.
Corner bombs really open up the board when I least expected it. When a bird lands on one that matches its color, it removes part of the game board, expands the grid up to 8x8, and drops more symbols into play. It also unlocks space portals that let birds teleport between corners and snatch up extra symbols, giving a lot more room for chain reactions and feature hits.
There are loads of feature symbols to collect. Some upgrade payouts for a single color, some for all colors. Others like Spacecorn let birds cross gaps, Transform changes symbols around a bird, and Black Hole spins the board into chaos. One of my favorites was the Alien Invasion, where the Space Bandit starts collecting symbols and dueling the birds. Win or lose, it usually shook out 8x to 12x wins for me.
Clear the whole board during Spacecorn, and you trigger the Lost in Space bonus. This plays like a coin hold game on an 8x8 grid with four parrots in the corners. You get three spins to land coins or bridges, and the birds collect anything adjacent at the end. I only triggered this once, but still walked away with 23x my bet.
The bonus game triggers with three scatters and starts with five free spins. If one of the scatters is a super bonus, it plays on the full 8x8 board with better upgrades. During the bonus, anything you’ve built up, like gem upgrades or an expanded grid, carries over. Any pending corner bombs or feature releases hit right on the first spin, which gave my round a quick boost.
If you’re short on patience, the X-iter menu lets you buy your way in. You can buy Alien Invasion for 25x, Lost in Space for 50x, regular free spins for 100x, or the super free spins for 500x. Bonus Hunt mode costs 3x per spin but ramps up your chances of landing something big. Personally I am not a big fan of these bonus buy features but its a good option if you enjoy it.
Pirots 4 is a loud, strange, and very busy slot. It won’t be for everyone, but if you like watching weird mechanics collide in unexpected ways, this space trip is worth taking.
