Between the Hold & Win feature, five jackpots, and free spins up to 15, I lingered inside this thunder-struck temple for well over 300 spins. 

Under a cloudy night sky, there is a five-reel, three-row slot with five jackpots attached to the grid. Played across 20 paylines, it requires at least three matching symbols on a payline to secure a win, except for Zeus symbols, where only two are needed to form a payout.

During my session, I was landing wins every 3 to 4 spins, with average returns between 1.50x and 2.80x my bet. To its credit, wilds appeared fairly often throughout my playthrough. Thanks to them, I managed to hit wins of 6x, 8x, and a 12x return, which stood as my highest base game win as well.

Beyond the base game, both the Hold and Win and free spins features are available, provided you can trigger them. It took me nearly 80 spins to land six cash symbols and activate the Hold and Win round, which ended with a 43x return. As for the free spins, I triggered them roughly 30 spins later by landing three scatters. 

I came away with five extra spins and a 35x return. While those bonus payouts were not particularly impressive, the smaller but frequent wins during the base game helped prevent my bankroll from falling apart completely. 

Temple of Thunder III ended up being one of the few games I genuinely enjoyed playing. Thanks to its consistent base game activity, I never completely lost interest while waiting for the bonus features. I can easily see myself returning to Olympus again through this Evoplay release.
