The mystical Chinese landscape hides many secrets within it and GameArt’s Dragon King takes great care to showcase the golden artifacts within its reels. You also get up to 10 free spins and a fun gamble feature to make the base game more engaging to play. 

The base game gives you an impressive 5-reel and 4-row grid with 50 paylines to get quick wins. During my playthrough, I was able to land small combinations every 3 to 5 spins with the win amounting to between 0.20 to 2.4x my bet. 

Although it might not look all that profitable at first glance, the gamble feature can make up for it in spades. I was able to win two to three rounds of the feature every time I used it and got around 6x to 9x returns for the effort. Just remember the feature is turned off by default when booting up the game so you’ll have to turn it on. 

The lucky golden coin symbol is the game’s scatter and gives you 5 free spins for landing 3 in any position. I was able to trigger the feature twice during my session but the returns weren’t very impressive coming in at just under 12x my bet. 

Although nice to have, I was able to make bigger wins using the gamble feature and I only landed the coin symbol once during the free spins which awards 5 more spins and 4x symbol pays. This was the only reason to actively look for the free spins. 

Overall, behind the heavily cluttered UI and outdated graphics, the Dragon King slot game by GameArt is a respectable offering that has the potential for small but steady wins. The gamble feature was quite favorable and coupled with the quick wins, can be a fun way to get some rewards early into the game.
