Mafia: Cosa Nostra Cashouts That Couldn't Be Refused

I played a video slot game called Mafia by Gameplay Interactive. It's designed to look and feel like the old-time gangster world from the movie "The Godfather."

The reels are populated with images reminiscent of the crime syndicate's heyday: the Don, his femme fatale, and an array of mob-related symbols, plus music that fits the theme really well. 

The symbols that pay you the most are the main gangster characters. I started by betting 5 cents on each line.

The free spins, represented by briefcases full of cash, seemed a distant dream throughout my half-hour session.

The game has some exciting bonus features, though. Hit three or more dynamite symbols and you're off to the Weapon Depot bonus game. In this bonus game, you choose one out of four weapons to find a prize. I got to play the Weapon Depot game once and won 50x my bet by choosing the rifle. 

Landing three Rifle Guns in a winning combination transports you to the 'Shoot your Enemies' round. Select three out of five targets, take your shot, and after hitting them, you win prizes. I entered this "Shoot Your Enemies" round twice and won good money both times.

Then there's the Briefcase full of cash—three on any of the reels kick off four Free Spins with an Expanding Wild. The Expanding Wild symbol will show up on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and then the 2nd reel again. But, you can't re-trigger free spins during these rounds. However, I never managed to unlock this bonus round. 

To use autoplay, where the game plays by itself, you have to press and hold the Spin button. 

In my opinion, the vintage-themed slot delivers an authentic gangster experience, yet its alluring free spins and bonus rounds can be challenging to trigger, despite offering the thrill of interactive gameplay and potential rewards
