Goldwyns Fairies: Help Magical Fairies Gather Precious Gems for Wild Respins and 10 Free Spins

I’ve always been a fan of Just For The Win slot titles for their fun, lighthearted themes, so I had to check out Goldwyns Fairies. This game features magical fairies, three different types of wilds, re-spins, free spins, and symbol pays up to 25x. But is that enough to make this slot from 2017 worth a spin? Here’s what I think.  

The start of my playthrough couldn’t have been rougher. Despite the game’s 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines, I was only landing wins between 0.20x and 0.40x every 3 to 5 spins. Even when I managed to trigger 3 respin wilds and 4 spins with a bunch of wilds on the board, I still only pulled a meager 0.40x win overall. 

After 30 spins of small, repetitive wins, my bankroll was feeling the strain. I did land a few bigger wins, ranging from 1.60x to 6x my bet, but they were rare, and the base game remained largely unprofitable for the rest of my session. Despite the disappointment, I knew I had to be patient and wait for the free spins mini-game to see if it could turn things around. 

It turns out that this was also harder than I had expected. I would have to land 3 scatters on the first, third, and fifth reel of the game to trigger 10 free spins. During this time, I had also landed the respin feature a couple of times and got 4 to 5 spins which got me decent wins between 5x to 8.70x my bet. Although useful, it came nowhere close to getting me a breakthrough and some returns. 

It took me about 30 minutes to finally trigger the free spins feature, and while I managed to score a 17x win from the round, it wasn’t enough to recover from the earlier losses. I saw glimpses of potential in Goldwyn’s Fairies, but they came too late to make a real impact. I wouldn’t recommend playing this one for real money.
