Cheese Chase: Tiptoe Past the Traps for a 100,000x Top Prize

Cheese Chase by Mancala invites us to join a little mouse on his pixelated mission to get a bellyful and not squished by traps. This is a classic crash game, but the 100,000x max win is not classic at all, at least for this type of mechanic.

The good thing is that I really liked the visuals and audio. It reminded me of those simple, old-school games where the character has only one purpose. However, everything else was hard to get behind.

By default, my session started on the normal level of difficulty, and I was shocked at how often I busted on the very first step. Every five to seven tries, which is highly unusual.

Easy gives you 24 mousetraps, medium 22, hard 20, and hardcore drops it down to 15. Fewer traps means the multiplier climbs faster from step to step, but so does the chance of stepping on the wrong one.

Contradictively, the furthest I got was in the hardcore game, thanks to good old stubbornness. I reached around 15x my bet twice, but lost a lot of bets in the process.

As I expected after a string of too-early losses, I found some rhythm on easy. But after going all in at hardcore, though, I couldn't really settle for the slow pace of the rising prizes there. Still, the highest I got was 4.28x my bet, and I started playing safe just to see if there was anything to find beyond the good looks. 

Overall, this was one of the worst crash game sessions I've had in a long time. There's nothing new or fresh in terms of mechanics. It is what it is, and I don't have anything against it. On the other hand, I don't know if I'm gonna be back for another no-action playthrough, so I'd recommend trying the demo on SlotsMate first. Maybe it's just a matter of luck.
