Serengeti Sunrise 2 Magic Wheel: Find Wild Lions For Up to 5,000x Wins

Are you ready for a trip to the African savanna, where you can match wild animal symbols for wins? Serengeti Sunrise 2 Magic Wheel lets players spin a wheel for multipliers or activate respins for fixed jackpots. The maximum win is 5,000x the bet.

This online slot uses a standard 5x3 grid, though the animated bonus wheel next to it confused me at first glance. Serengeti Sunrise 2 Magic Wheel also has 40 fixed paylines. I didn’t land many wins, with about 90% of my spins resulting in losses.

The base game was harsh. I had streaks of 15 or 20 spins without a win. The lowest-paying jack offers 1x to 2x my bet, while the top-paying elephant offers 10x to 50x, which is not bad at all. However, with so few wins, those relatively high payouts meant little to me in practice.

I frequently noticed stacked wild symbols on the reels, but they rarely helped me complete a winning combo. Even though they pay on their own (up to 50x the bet), I never scored a win like that.

Landing six symbols in any combination of special and jackpot symbols activates a jackpot game with three respins. During this round, the symbols carry fixed jackpot values or multipliers ranging from 1x to 100x. Sadly, I never triggered the respins, though I did land five of those symbols on the grid a couple of times.

I could have purchased the respins through the bonus buy feature for 80x my stake, but I didn’t. By the time I was halfway through my session, I’d already lost quite a bit.

The only feature I activated was the Magic Wheel, and I triggered it three times. This wheel-of-fortune-style minigame activates when its symbol lands on the reels. Despite the chance to win 50x my bet or the Minor jackpot, my three spins paid only 1x, 5x, and 7x my bet.

Serengeti Sunrise 2 Magic Wheel ultimately didn’t meet my expectations. The base-game wins were rare and small, and I never got to try the respins. I’ve played plenty of more eventful slots, so I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

PROS

• Bonus wheel with fixed prizes
• Respins

CONS

• No respin trigger
• Long non-winning streaks
• Low payouts from the bonus wheel

Icarus: Heat of Fortune: Fly Close, but Not Too Close to the Sun for 15,000x Jackpots

In Icarus Heat of Fortune by Mancala Gaming, the goal is to get as close to the Sun as you can without getting your wings burnt. Inside, you chase base-game respins and a hold-and-win with interesting features, plus jackpots up to 15,000x your bet.

This game uses a 3x3 grid with no paylines, and in the base game, only the middle row is active. Coins worth 1x to 50x your bet can land anywhere, but don’t pay on their own. Their values only count when a collector symbol picks them up.

Basically, you’ll have to chase the collector symbol, which is only active in the middle row in the base game. Every three to six spins, I’d land one, which opens a base game feature, Extra Spins. You get three of them, the collector stays fixed in its spot, and it gathers the values of every coin on the grid, which otherwise mean nothing. My best one collected 9x.

As I spun for more than 70 spins with occasional feature triggers and wins between 1x and 6x my bet, the game loop became repetitive. I finally managed to land three symbols in the middle row (any symbol works for the trigger) to trigger the bonus, and my grid moved closer to the Sun. You start with three respins, and every new symbol resets them.

Collectors now work anywhere on the grid, while golden wing frames multiply whatever lands inside them. Surprise symbols turn into other symbols, and Jackpot Surprises into jackpots, from the 10x Mini to the 200x Major. Filling all nine spots brings the 15,000x Grand, but then every other prize is forfeited.

The round ended at an 80x total, and it was kind of scary watching our main character fall from the sky. You can also purchase the round for 95x the bet. Overall, my session was mediocre, but it was fun spinning on a bit different grid, with interesting mechanics. The game is also tastefully interactive.

PROS

• Surprise symbol transformation
• Respins bonus game
• Up to 15,000x jackpots

CONS

• Repetitive base game
• Rare bonus triggers

Golden Tomb Guardians: Enter the Halls of Anubis for up to 5,000x Wins

Golden Tomb Guardians is one of countless online slots that draw inspiration from ancient Egypt. The action takes place in a grand temple with god statues on either side of the grid. Whenever you win, these statues come to life for a second and move, which is a nice touch.

During my playthrough of Golden Tomb Guardians, I was lucky enough to play the Hold & Earn respin round not once, but four times in total. I was pleased I got to experience this special feature so many times.

I liked the way it worked. The six or more triggering coins each revealed a prize and if there were three on a reel, they disappeared to make way for new symbols. During the round, coins, jackpot coins, and ankhs could land.

If I collected enough ankhs, I’d earn a 3x multiplier. This never happened, but it was great that this was a feature. As for my payouts, I won 15x, 11x, 9x, and 8x from the round. I was satisfied with these, but I was hoping to win more.

The thing is, buying respins cost 50x and yet my average payout from the feature was just over 10x. I was obviously not lucky enough to experience the full potential of the respin round.

Still, I was pleased with my gaming session overall. My respin wins weren’t massive, but they helped me keep my balance topped up. Also, I got some pretty good base game wins of 13x, 10x, 8x, and 7x that also helped a lot.

By the end, I’d made a nice profit. I enjoyed playing Golden Tomb Guardians and would happily suggest it to others. It’s a well-themed slot whose respin feature can trigger regularly. Just be aware that you might not win too much from it.

PROS

• Hold & Earn respins can trigger often
• Decent win potential in the base game
• Good theming and design
• Five fixed jackpots up to 5,000x stake

CONS

• Hard to win big from the respin feature
