The first thing that caught my attention in the game was the unconventional reel layout. You have a bigger 6x4 grid with a smaller 4x3 grid on top of it. The megaways feature inside makes wins relatively quick as I was making small combinations in the base game every 4 to 8 spins.

During the round, the lady symbol can appear and collect the values from fish symbols. Get 4 lady symbols to retrigger the free spins with multipliers that get higher with each retrigger. There's no limit on how many times you can retrigger it. From my experience, you can expect wins ranging from 8x to 120x your bet. 

The Hold and Spin bonus is slightly more elusive and the biggest money maker in the game. During the mini-game, you start off with 3 respins and each time you land a coin symbol, you get the three respins back alongside the value of each of the coin symbols you have landed throughout the round. 

During my sessions, I won between 50x to 180x my bet with this mini-game. If you are having trouble landing them, you can also use the bonus buy feature on the left side of the reels. Free spins go for 100x your bet and the Hold and Spin round costs 120x your bet. 

With that being said, Floating Dragon New Year Festival Ultra is a solid game with a whole bunch of features to keep gameplay interesting. Although the play area felt crowded with so many things on the screen, I still had a good time with this Asian title by Pragmatic Play.
