Midas Touch: Turning Reels Into Riches

Most of us are familiar with the tale of King Midas. Everything he touched turned into gold, making him quite a wealthy man. As you might have guessed from its title, this game is basically a classic slot with gold paint all over. The design is quite good, and for me, it was the only positive thing about the slot. The backdrop depicts the entrance to a building, and all the pillars are golden. There’s also a purple drape behind the pillars. Any time you spin the reels, rays will shine from the game logo at the top of the reels. 

The soundtrack of the game reminded me of the popular TV series Game of Thrones. It ties in well with the royalty theme. 

As a classic slot, this game features the usual fruit symbols, including a slice of watermelon, grapes, pears, and oranges. I was surprised to learn that you can form a winning combination with a pear, orange, and watermelon (any 3). This reward was very low, but it still helped limit my losses. 

The symbol I was most excited to see was the Midas Touch icon. It’s the wild card of the game and fortunately appeared frequently during my gameplay. The only issue I had with this symbol is that it doesn’t have a multiplier or any other tricks. It just pays out at the standard rate. 

The lack of bonus features also bothered me. There are no free spins or bonus mini-games included. As you might expect, getting sizable winnings in the game was close to impossible. 

To sum up, Midas Touch is probably not the best slot for high-adrenaline players. I quickly got bored playing the game as its gameplay is quite bland. The only thing I liked about the game is the artwork and general design.
