The base game runs on a 5 reel, 4 row layout with 178 paylines and medium volatility. The dinosaur symbols include T Rex, Pachycephalosaurus, Styracosaurus, and Venus flytraps, along with A, K, and Q royals. Wins landed every 3 to 5 spins during my session. Most of those paid between 0.15x and 0.75x my bet. 

Even when I connected four or five symbols, the payout stayed under 1x more often than not. Early in my first session, a T Rex landed on reel five and started walking left, giving me a respin each time it shifted. That sequence gave me five respins and paid 4.50x. I triggered that walking wild multiple times across both sessions and every time, the payout stayed under 7x my bet. 

I also triggered the sequence where the T Rex starts replacing major symbols across the reels. It moves vertically first, then sweeps across replacing those symbols with wilds. It looks strong when it starts building, but the payouts remained low for me. 

The volcano meter eventually filled and triggered the bonus round. The layout expands and runs for 8 rounds while lava rocks strike positions and upgrade prizes. This is where the slot finally delivered. The first bonus paid just over 40x. The second reached 61x, and that was the only moment across both sessions where the slot felt profitable.

Overall, the T Rex Lava Blitz slot was an interesting one. On one hand, I love prehistoric dinos roaming a large grid with a ton of paylines.
