Roaring crowds and regal music greet you as you step foot on the 5x3 arena of the main game with 9 paylines and low-medium volatility. My playthrough of the game lasted about an hour where I was landing symbol combinations every 3 to 6 spins with the payouts ranging from 0.66x to 4x my bet. 

The game never felt too unprofitable and wilds were plentiful getting me the bigger wins necessary to keep my bankroll intact. On a similar note, free spin symbols and bonus symbols were also landing almost every spin which made me feel like the bonus features were never too far away. 

The bonus symbols come with up to 15x instant rewards but need to be part of a winning line to be activated. I was able to do just that a couple of times getting me a decent 3x and 4x win. The free spins feature was much harder to nail down as it requires 3 or more symbols to trigger. Getting all 5 of them can award a massive 60x win alongside 15 free spins but I wasn’t so lucky.

I managed to land only three symbols, resulting in a 5x win and 5 free spins, which further yielded an additional 6.66x win, totaling an 11.66x win. While respectable, the round wasn't profitable enough to offset my overall stakes. This indicates that, despite the potential for significant wins in the slot, actually securing them can be quite challenging.

After checking it out, I felt like Slot Factory could have leaned into the classical Roman theme a bit more for the Arena of Rome slot game. As it stands, it's a decent entry with some bright moments but doesn’t bring anything that makes it unique among the sea of titles coming out lately.
