The first thing that caught my attention when booting up Golden 888 was the heavy use of neon all around the reels. The presentation is top-notch with vibrant colors everywhere and smooth animations that make the moment-to-moment gameplay even more enjoyable. 

As the game comes with no gimmicks, it needed a solid base game with a few impressive wins to make it worth playing. After spinning the reels for over 300 times, I can confidently say that the game has managed to deliver on these fundamentals for the most part. 

You have a classic 3-reel grid with 9 paylines and medium volatility which results in decently quick wins. These stats carry over to the gameplay quite evenly as I was making wins every 2 to 5 spins. Most of them ranged between 0.55x to 1x my bet which wasn’t super profitable in the beginning. 

However, 12 spins in and I got my first big win which was worth 30.40x my bet. The highest win I made was just under 40x my bet which was decent for a classic slot title like this. 

The only thing I would recommend going with a slightly higher bet multiplier than you usually would. In my case, going with a 2x bet multiplier resulted in higher overall wins. With a credit value bet and a bet multiplier, you should be able to tweak your bet depending on your bankroll. 

All in all, Golden 888 keeps it simple with big symbol pays, a solid gameplay loop, and crisp graphics. If you are into classic slot games, I would recommend giving the demo version available on top a try.
