Easter Coins: Only Play If You Have a Large Bankroll

When Easter Coins loaded, I liked the look of the slot. It had a pleasant country village setting and a relaxing soundtrack to go along with the Easter/springtime theme. However, the gameplay was lacking for me.

This was because it was only possible to win during the respin feature. In the base game, each position on the 5x5 grid could have a range of symbols on it, or just a blank space. To play respins, I needed to fill the middle row with symbols.

Like other Wazdan slots, I could choose the volatility and change it at any time. I went for medium, thinking the respin feature would still have a chance of triggering sooner rather than later.

However, I was wrong. It took more than 100 spins for the feature to come into play. That’s at least 100 bets with no return whatsoever. Then, when I finally got to play respins, I only won 34x my bet, which was a major disappointment.

I started with three respins and, as usual, this number would reset if a respin produced at least one new symbol. Due to my very bad luck, none of the three respins caused any new symbols to appear.

Once I used the three respins, that was it. The round was over. I couldn’t believe I’d spent more than 100x my bet just to play a respin feature that was over before it had begun. Given the many different symbols there were, I could see how the round had potential.

On the one hand, I like it when a slot tries something different. On the other hand, I’m not such a big fan of slots where you can only win by playing a special feature that rarely triggers. 

Finally, I’ll point out that I also tried low volatility, but that didn’t seem to improve the chances of the respin round triggering. Easter Coins simply wasn’t the right kind of slot for me.
