3 Lucky Leprechauns: Hoard Pots of Gold for up to 5,000x Wins

4ThePlayer puts tons of detail into their worlds and 3 Lucky Leprechauns is a beautiful slot game with mountain vistas, pots of gold, and butterflies all around the reels. The game also boasts three high-paying features with wins up to 5,000x your bet! So why the mediocre rating? Let me tell you! 

The base game of 3 Lucky Leprechauns lets you play on a standard 5-reel and 3-row grid with 243 paylines and medium-high volatility to make your wins. This is where my first issue with the game comes up, wins made during regular spins are very hit-or-miss. 

There were times when I was landing symbol combos every other spin and at other times it would take me over 10 spins to land a small win. On average, I was getting wins worth between 0.50x to 4x my bet every 3 to 7 spins. There were a few breakout wins during my playthrough ranging from 6.40x to 12.50x my bet as well, but overall, the base game remains unprofitable. 

Coming back to the features I mentioned above, the  Leprechaun Trail bonus is the easiest to trigger by getting 3 or more scatters. These symbols activate the prizes on the left of the reels starting with instant cash prizes worth 7x to 30x your bet and going up to 15 win spins or 5 picks of the Pick-A-Win feature. Ideally, you want to go as high as you can so you get the bigger wins! 

If the feature you landed isn’t your cup of tea, you can also exchange it for an instant win worth up to 1,000x your bet. 

The win spins bonus is fairly hard to trigger and can be triggered through the Leprechaun Trail. The feature needs 3 bonus symbols at the very least and gets you between 4 to 15 spins with a 5x win multiplier. On average, I got 7 to 10 spins each time I triggered the feature and had returns between 65x to 80x my bet. 

Finally, the Pick-A-Win feature is extremely hard to trigger as you need quite a few scatters to get to the top and trigger it. That being said, picks here can range from 50x to 400x your bet from my experience. I was able to trigger wins between 100x to 125x after climbing up the ladder with just a single pick. 

A buy bonus button is also available if you want to skip the base game and it can let you choose between all the three features available in the game. Out of the three, the only bet I’d recommend taking is on the Leprechaun Trail which costs 35x your bet. You get a chance to win big and if not, at least you won’t be spending 75x or 330x your bet just to trigger the other two features. 

4ThePlayer’s 3 Lucky Leprechauns remains a fairly mixed bag with highly profitable bonus rounds on one hand, and a grindy base game that takes quite some time to deliver you to said bonuses on the other. All in all, I’d recommend trying it out for sure!
