Sparta Dice: Cast the Spartan Dice Before the Parthenon for Progressive Jackpot Glory

Amusnet Interactive has set foot in Ancient Greece with its new release, Sparta Dice. With four different progressive jackpots and a grid set before the Parthenon, it was enough for me to give it a try, and here’s what I found.

This is a five-reel, three-row grid with 20 fixed paylines. On the grid, there are 11 symbols in total, including a bonus symbol and a wild. The return to player sits at 96.1%, while the volatility leans toward the high side.

That said, during my session, it felt somewhere between medium and high, as I was landing wins every 4 to 5 spins, mostly returning around 1.5x to 2x my bet. One thing I noticed about the base game was a pattern of small, frequent wins instead of larger payouts.

Even though those smaller wins kept my bankroll somewhat stable, I managed to land my session high of 22x my bet in the base game, which helped cover some earlier losses. There is also a gamble feature available, but I wouldn’t recommend it, as the risk of losing the entire win never appealed to me.

On paper, there are progressive jackpot rounds that can trigger randomly. Unfortunately, I never managed to activate one during my 200+ spin session, so it’s not something I would rely on too much.

As for the bonus round, you’ll need three or more bonus symbols on the grid. It took me nearly 80 spins to trigger my first bonus round with 12 free spins. During the feature, I couldn’t activate the respins and finished with a 32x return, which was far from what I expected after such a wait.

There is also a Bonus Buy option that costs 100x your bet. I tried it twice, the first time returned 72x my bet, while the second paid a good 241x my bet. It had me hooked to try this round once more, but I didn’t let my dark passion cloud my judgment. If your bankroll allows and you’re comfortable with the risk, you can give it a shot. Otherwise, i’d suggest skipping it.

Sparta Dice works well if you prefer steady gameplay with small, frequent wins and the occasional stronger hit. Still, that was just my session and my luck, which may not play out the same for everyone. So always keep an eye on your bankroll.
