The game is heavily inspired by classic slot titles but this time around, instead of the traditional cherries and berries, you get a penalty kick bonus round with up to 999x wins! 

The standard gameplay loop of this title revolves around a 3x3 grid connected by 5 paylines and high volatility. Due to these factors, the game doesn’t get you quick wins but the tradeoff is that the wins you do get are fairly significant. I made anywhere from 1x to 8x returns on my bet each time I landed a symbol combination. 

That being said, you really want to get the bonus as soon as possible. Regular spins pay well but the inconsistent wins mean that more often than not, you’d be making a loss as was the case with me. With just 5 paylines and a small grid, landing symbol combos took me anywhere from 3 to 8 spins. There were even times when I’d go over 15 spins without a single win. 

This is where the bonus round came to my rescue, landing 3 bonus symbols triggers this feature. In my opinion, the best part about this feature si that you could land the bonus symbols anywhere on the reels and it still counts. Once triggered, you get to make penalty kicks with increasing prizes that go up to 999x your bet. 

With an entire country’s hopes and dreams on my shoulders and my fame and fortune on the line, I was able to make 3 kicks the first time I triggered the bonus and made an astounding 190x win which was the biggest I’d make throughout my playthrough. I also managed to trigger the bonus a few more times and get between 50x to 140x wins in the process. 

Picking a hero also comes into play here as after some time of testing all of the roster, I found that the Elvis Frog character got me the biggest wins. A bonus buy feature is also available for 80x your bet and from what I’ve seen, it can be highly rewarding if you’re willing to bet high. 

The Soccermania slot game by BGaming is a fun title with an exciting gameplay loop and tense bonus rounds with big wins. Although I feel like the devs could have done more with the concept as picking a hero and country didn’t make any impact on my gameplay, I was still fairly impressed with this interesting slot title.
