We are in the middle of an epic battle between ancient Dragons in the Dragons vs GigaBlox slot by Hot Rise Games. Pick your dragon champion containing either gigablox that expand in size or drop additional wilds. Build your way up to the respin feature for multipliers and special symbols carrying cash rewards. Here’s why I was so impressed by this underrated slot. 

The main game comes with a massive 6 reel and 3 to 6 row grid that is connected by 50 winning lines and a high volatility setting. In my playthrough, I was consistently land winning symbol combinations between 0.53x to 2.63x my bet coming every 2 to 4 spins on average. I also found the red dragon that carries random wilds to be much more profitable than the green dragon. 

Whenever a giant 2x2 symbol of the red dragon lands, it turns 3 or more random symbols around it into wilds which got me between 12.93x to 20.60x returns pretty easily. They were not easily available but considering the fact that they brought wins pretty frequently is what made me impressed. Unlike them, the green dragon brings expanding reels which can be much more profitable but is highly likely to not make a win which made it a bit too risky for my tastes. 

Triggering the bonus requires five or more bonus pearl symbols which was a steep ask, to say the least. The bonus symbols mostly landed in ones and pairs for the most part which is why it took me over 200 spins to hunt down all five of them and enter the respins bonus game. The wins during the round were limited and I only made 56x returns from the round which was not enough to justify waiting around for it. 

Despite a strong start, the Dragons vs GigaBlox slot failed miserably at its bonus game execution. It takes too long to trigger as the requirements are too steep and the returns are relatively low to justify playing the game for longer sessions. Despite the high-quality presentation and interesting mechanics, I'd suggest giving this entry by Hot Rise Games a pass and looking for other titles by them below.
