Death Dominion by Pragmatic Play drops you into a blood-soaked graveyard where the Grim Reaper waits patiently to reward, or punish, every spin. Cascading symbols, up to 100x accumulating multipliers, multiple free spin variants with up to 1,000x multipliers, and an impressive 20,000x max win make this one of Pragmatic Play's more ambitious scatter pays releases.

The game uses a 6x5 scatter pays grid, where eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels create wins before triggering cascades. Symbol pays start at 0.25x and go up to 50x your bet, which is pretty par for the course.

During my session, regular wins landed every 3 to 4 spins, usually returning between 0.20x and 1.75x without any help from the multipliers. The multiplier symbols themselves were much rarer, appearing roughly once every 20 spins, but even small 2x to 3x values were enough to turn those modest wins into returns comfortably above 6x my stake.

The base game felt decent enough, but it was obvious that everything revolved around landing those multiplier symbols. Without them, the cascades were rarely built into anything memorable, while even the smallest multiplier immediately made the same combinations feel worthwhile.

After landing 4 scatters, I entered the bonus with 12 free spins. During free spins, every winning multiplier is permanently added to a running total multiplier that boosts future wins, while the Doom symbol can either help by creating more multipliers or wipe them out entirely, depending on the bonus variant.

Unfortunately, I finished with just 22.50x my bet, simply because I barely saw any multiplier symbols at all. Hoping it was just bad luck, I eventually triggered another bonus later in the session, only for history to repeat itself. This one ended at an equally disappointing 21.90x, with the Doom symbols proving more frustrating than exciting.

The multiplier symbols already felt rare enough, so having another mechanic capable of removing them made the balance feel unnecessarily harsh. I generally really enjoy Pragmatic Play’s scatter pays titles, but the Death Dominion slot definitely didn’t make the cut. The profitability is low, and the scatters are equally rare, making it even harder to trigger the bonus.
