Dandy Diamonds is a polished-up fruit machine, but it quickly spirals into something louder. Hacksaw made sure that Sticky diamonds land with multipliers up to 100x, colossal diamond merges expand across the 5x5 grid, bolt symbols push wins up to 20x, and three free spins tiers triple the anticipation. On top of it, the max win reaches 5,000x your bet.

In the main game, hits came often. Most of my winning combos landed between 0.5x and 3x my bet, with a 4x or 5x every dozen spins from cherries, plums, or the higher-paying fruits aligned three or four in a row.

Around twenty spins in, I had four Diamonds locked on the grid, each one carrying its own multiplier from the moment it landed. The multipliers on diamond symbols can slide from 2x to 10x. One of them had landed two respins earlier with a 5x and never moved off reel 3. 

The Dandy Respin is a mechanic that gets you there. Whenever a Diamond lands, the rest of the grid spins again while the Diamond stays sticky, and new Diamonds keep extending the chain.

My fourth one landed in a square next to three others, and the four merged into a Colossal Diamond at 2x2, all their multipliers added together. That round paid around 40x my bet.

A few hands later, I finally got to see the bonus called Diamond in the Rough. It features three scatters, with ten free spins. Nothing significant happened, but around the fifth spin, when a small cluster of diamonds landed, they had enough multipliers to push past 12x my bet on its own. The round closed at 28x.

The two upper bonus tiers, Play with Safire and the Ice and Shine, drop the respin part entirely. Diamonds stay locked across the whole round instead. There's a bonus buy menu too, in case you want to skip straight in.

Overall, Dandy Diamonds was smooth to play and not too stingy with the smaller hits. What it didn't do was give me one of those moments where I sit up straighter. I won't avoid it next time it shows up, but I won't go looking for it either.
