The Dawn Is Coming: Impressive Design, But Unexciting Gameplay

When I started playing The Dawn Is Coming, I liked the appearance of the slot and thought it was designed well. The action took place in a cave inhabited by a large, monstrous giant. The symbols had a lot of detail and looked quite realistic, which was good to see.

As for the gameplay, it was standard. I was hoping for an enjoyable slot experience, but I was left underwhelmed, frankly speaking. The slot had some good features, such as multiplier wilds and paylines that ran in both directions (there were only 10, but still).

There was also a free spins round where wilds could expand. During my playthrough of the slot, most of my wins were less than my bet, despite there being multiplier wilds. My biggest base game payouts were around 5x my bet, which is quite low.

The free spins round didn’t trigger on its own, though there were a few spins where two out of the three scatters necessary landed. I decided to buy the round for a special price of 55x (reduced from 58x). Though the round had the added feature of expanding wilds, I still lost overall.

I won 27x from the round, which lasted 12 spins. This was around half of what I’d paid for it, which was very disappointing. There’s always a risk when you buy a special feature, of course, but the last thing I wanted was to lose half the cost.

Even though I was looking forward to playing The Dawn Is Coming, I found the slot wasn’t worthwhile at all. If you decide to give it a spin, hopefully you’ll have better luck with it than I did.
