In the base game, wins were coming in fairly often. I was landing payouts every three to four spins. Most of my wins stayed small, usually between 0.80x and 1.60x my bet. From time to time, I hit slightly better returns around 6x or 7x return, but nothing that really moved the balance in a big way.

To trigger the bonus round, you need to land three or more scatter symbols. For me, it took close to 30 spins to activate it. The bonus paid out 38x my bet, which felt average at best. There’s also a bonus buy option priced at 70x your bet, but based on how the bonus played for me, I wouldn’t recommend testing it.

I stuck to the base game, as both options feel risky unless your bankroll is built for swings. In short, Bank of Blarney keeps things ticking with frequent small wins, but bigger moments are rare. 

In the game, the bonus round can pay, but it doesn’t always justify the wait or the buy-in. If you’re comfortable grinding through smaller payouts and waiting for features to line up, it can hold your attention.

I went into Dead Lucky DuoMax expecting a wild ride. The theme instantly pulled me in like bright, detailed Day of the Dead visuals with animated skeletons, glowing masks, and music that actually felt part of the setting. At first glance, it all looked promising.

The core idea is clever. There’s this DuoMax system which wins alternate directions, which is first left to right, then right to left. The core mechanic is built around a 243-ways-to-win system that pays both left-to-right and right-to-left. On top of that, each win triggers a cascading reels feature, where winning symbols disappear and new ones fall into place. It’s a combo that sounds great on paper, especially when you imagine back-to-back cascades racking up multipliers.

The base game has enough going on to stay interesting for a while. There’s a Guitarist Bonus that can randomly clear an entire column after a losing spin, which helps reset your luck a bit. Then there’s the Calavera Bonus, which activates when you hit several consecutive wins in a row. When triggered, it removes low-paying symbols from the grid, making space for higher-value icons to drop in.

Then came the free spins. Or more accurately, a long wait for them. It took me around 45 minutes before I finally got a shot. You can gamble for more spins once they drop, which is a neat twist. I took the risk and lost them, so no spins at all. Honestly, that was rough. The second time I triggered them, I played it safe. The results were just okay, nothing more than 25x my bet.

I didn’t hate the game. It looks great, and the mechanics are creative. But it just doesn’t pay well enough or often enough to feel rewarding. The 94% RTP also doesn’t help, especially when paired with high volatility. You could be sitting through long dry patches. If you’re just here for the visuals or trying out something new, sure, give the free demo a few spins. But if you’re hoping for solid returns, you might want to pass on this one.

Bone Raiders is a well-designed online slot featuring a host of skeleton characters in a rather spooky castle setting. The base game takes place on the lowered drawbridge, while the bonus game is set inside the rather sinister castle that even has lava flowing about. 

When playing the slot, there were a few core features that really appealed to me. These included the 243 ways to win on every spin and the respin feature that kicked in after every win. Whenever I won, all of the reels would respin and there would be a multiplier that would double with every winning respin. It went from x1 to x2 to x4 and then to x8 (I never got enough respins to make it go higher than x8). Still, it helped me bring in some decent wins.

As for the bonus game, I played this a total of three times. The first time, the feature triggered on its own and gave me a win of 26x. The next two times, I bought it. The cost was 70x, though the returns I got both times weren’t that good: they were 17x and 16x, which were nowhere near enough for me to make a profit. Having said that, I did very much enjoy the bonus game and liked how it worked. It was essentially a respin feature on a large grid with enhancers triggering different effects such as boosting cash values.

I enjoyed playing Bone Raiders and thought it was a great slot. It had plenty of features and a good replayability factor thanks to its large number of ways to win and respins with every winning spin. The bonus game was also a lot of fun, though if I were you, I wouldn’t pay for it.
