During the early part of my playthrough, I was landing wins every 4 to 5 spins, with returns between 0.90x and 2.50x my bet. My bankroll was slowly going down, but just when it started getting noticeable, I was hit by another surprise.

After around 100 spins, the hit rate suddenly dropped, with wins coming every 8 to 9 spins. At the same time, those wins ranged between 3x and 4x my bet. My highest base game win reached 17x my bet, which stood out at that point.

To trigger the Hold and Win round, you need coin symbols on the first and third reels, along with a collector symbol on the middle reel. It took more than 150 spins to trigger my only bonus round in a 200+ spins session.

I ended that round with 52x my bet, without any help from the jackpot symbols. Not quite what I was hoping for after that wait, but I’ll take it.

If your luck or patience runs out before triggering this round naturally, you can opt for the bonus buy at 91x your bet. I don’t usually go for this option, but I gave it a couple of tries.

The first buy paid 31x my bet, which didn’t help much. The second one, however, returned 247x my bet, so that balanced things out a bit.

Overall, the slot has clear potential, but it comes with long dry spells and mixed returns. If you’re planning to try Mega Zeus Hold and Hit 3x3, it’s better to go in prepared.
